Management
Chris Brady
After attending the University of Toronto (major in Computer Science; minor in Commerce),
Chris worked as an independent programmer or “one-man band” through much of the 1980’s. In 1989, Chris
joined ATI Technologies as one of the small core team charged with developing the software to support
ATI’s first Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). While at ATI, Chris was tapped to create and manage the XGA
GPU (Mach64) software group and the Windows NT software group. In 1994, Chris started ALT Software Inc.
to provide 2D device drivers for GPUs and the major operating systems. After thirteen years and a name
change, ALT Software morphed into a provider of multimedia device drivers and system-level software to multiple industries, most notably avionics and aerospace & defense, and dominates in this arena today. In January 2008, Chris transferred his day-to-day control of ALT Software to new management and in July 2008 decided to officially leave ALT Software to pursue new opportunities and get back to his “entrepreneurial roots”, while continuing to hold a majority stake in ALT Software.
Chris has refocused Alt Richmond to offer multimedia middleware as well as a technology investment vehicle whose mission is to provide strategic, operational, and technical capabilities to emerging software companies in exchange for an equity interest in the company.

Lisa brings this wealth of experience to her current role and is also learning new skills in the areas of design and website development.
Mike Micek
Mike is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a degree in electrical engineering. While at University, Mike participated in a 15-month PEY program term where he worked at ALT software in Toronto developing embedded graphics software for applications ranging from avionics to high-end sports cars to children's toys. He also provided technical support and troubleshooting services for customers to resolve software, installation and operational problems, as well as worked on a major software purchase assessment project for the company, and presented his findings and recommendations to senior management. For his 4th year project, he designed a wireless power monitoring system to remotely track home power usage. That project earned him a certificate of excellence in a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) design contest.
